To a university student, Thursday nights are like finding a pot of gold, in that they’re close enough to the weekend that you can justify blowing off that Friday morning lecture for a night out. But they’re also far enough away from Monday that you can be sure you’ll get that essay finished (although you haven’t started it yet).

So here are some of the best places to go when you’re keen for that Thursday night out:

The Brunswick Hotel

With $3 beer and cider pots all night long you’re bound to have a good time, you can have a quiet game of pool inside with your mates or head out to the dancefloor and carve it up to some of the latest hits.

New Guernica

This jungle rooftop club is like nothing else and with the hottest songs form Triple J pumping all night long no one can complain. Beer and spirit deals too!

Thursday nights are uni night, so make sure you bring along that student ID card to open up the world of cheap drinks and live music.

Whatever you decide to do, make the most of your Thursday nights because when you’re working those 9-5 corporate jobs, Thursday night partying will just be a thing of the past.
