It’s going to be a hot season so we need some hot food to make sure our tastebuds don’t get FOMO. So here is a list of the Top 5 Spiciest/Hottest foods from some of our favourite bars with great specials! AND YES, unsurprisingly, wings are the main feature of this list. But who’s complaining?
They have a spicy, crispy, chicken burger. YES PLEASE. The catch? Loaaddddss of chilli to get you all spiced up and it’s only $12 every Monday night accompanied with a glass of house wine or a pot of Furphy.
Before we even get to the food – this place has selected $2 pots!! That is madness, not to mention killer Happy Hour Drink Specials including $6 spirits, and $7 cocktails. Now to the food; they do a great ‘Pick n Mix’ 3 items for $22 which include some saucy hot items. These include the Chilli Squid and their Signature Buffalo wings. Best bit? THERE IS NO TIME FRAME – this is a deal any time of the day or night.
Do not go here if you can’t handle getting your hands dirty deep in sizzling hot wings. They have two crazy flavours, Jalapeno and Beer Infused – no that last one is not a joke, they have wings marinated in beer and they are deee-licious! You can get 10 for $20 and if you order them between 4-7 every day you can help wash them down with $6 pints, $3 pale ales, $5 spirits, $7 wines and many more happy hour deals.
Their new St. Kilda joint is serving up half price food between 5-6:30 every Wednesday as well as $10 Margarita and $15 sangria jugs 3-6 every Friday to entice your chilli tastebuds along. Here it doesn’t matter what you order, if you order it with the medium hot sauce or higher it is going to be very, very spicy but very, very good!
Brother Burger - Fitzroy
GTFO. Just kidding. But that is the name of Brother Burger’s famous GTFO wings which they say are R18+ only! They feature “SUPER-HOT SAUCE” which has Carolina Reaper in it – the world’s HOTTEST chilli! They will tell you “you’ve been warned.” If you’re game enough to not GTFO and stay and try them, you can get your hands on half a kilo worth of it for less than $10 bucks!
Off you go saucy lovers, the chilly weather is leaving us but the mouth chillies are here to stay!
